Block distractions with Tab and site Management, designed for Homeschool & Cyber School students.
Keep Homeschool and Cyber School Students Focused on Classwork.
As a Cyber School or Homeschool parent, having your student in a classroom on a computer makes it remarkably easy for them to wander off, open dozens of hidden tabs, sneak onto web games, or browsing YouTube while class is live. On a cyber school controlled computer, limits are even harder to set since parental control software can’t usually be installed, and the tools they do provide are usually useless.
Focus Fox provides simple, robust parental boundaries right inside Google Chrome. It combines tab limits, single-window enforcement, password-protected website blocking, and optional tamper detection into one seamless, lightweight extension. Built by parents for parents.
🦊 Key Features
🛑 Hard Tab Limits
Enforce strict limits on runaway browsing. Set your student’s maximum allowed tabs (e.g., 2, 3, or 5). Any unauthorized extra tab opened beyond the limit is shut down instantly.
🪟 Single-Window Enforcement
Only one chrome browser can be used at a time, which prevents kids from sneaking off into secondary windows, split-screen distractions, or unmonitored browser sessions.
đź”’ Master Password Protection (Add & Remove)
Unlike standard blockers where kids can alter filters or maliciously block their own school portals, every single setting—including quick-blocking from the toolbar popup—requires the Parent Password.
đźš« Custom Domain & Search Keyword Blocking
Block specific distraction URLs, game portals, and proxy addresses.
Block search queries containing restricted terms like “unblocked”, “proxy”, or “browser games”.
Enable 1-click preset categories for Gaming, Social/Chat, and Streaming/Video.
🎯 Custom Redirects & Strict Whitelist Mode
Reroute blocked site attempts directly back to your student’s school portal (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas, or Zoom).
Toggle Strict Whitelist Mode during test or school hours to lock out the entire internet except approved lesson resources.
⏰ Scheduled Focus Hours
Automate enforcement: run boundaries 24/7 or schedule them to kick in automatically during your family’s dedicated school hours.
🚨 Anti-Tamper & Extension Shield
Blocks chrome://extensions Access: Automatically denies access to the Chrome management page so students cannot toggle the extension off.
